Most people who use this are employed and would prefer their employer not know. So, plainly: we never contact your employer, we never publish anything about you, and nothing you build here is visible to anyone but you unless you explicitly choose to share it. There is no employer console, no manager view, and no organization that can see your account.
When you upload a resume, the file is read and its full text is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API so the course can parse it into structured fields and pre-fill your intake. We then store the parsed result — your career history and the structured summary — against your account so later modules can build on it. This is what makes the intake short and the Brief specific to you.
What that means concretely: your employment history, dates, employers, and anything else written on your resume is processed by a third-party AI provider and stored in our database. Per Anthropic’s API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train their models, and they retain API logs for a limited period for trust and safety before deleting them.
You do not have to upload a resume. Every field it pre-fills can be typed in by hand, and you can edit or delete anything it filled before continuing. You can delete your stored resume data at any time — see Retention & deletion below.
All data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS, US East). Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Database access requires row-level authentication — your data is isolated to your account.
During the founding cohort, exercise transcripts may be reviewed by Adam Buerer (the course creator, and currently the entire team) to check that the AI interviewer is asking good questions and producing useful artifacts. Transcripts are never shared with third parties, never used in marketing, and never published.
After the founding cohort period, transcript review becomes opt-in only. If you would rather opt out now, email courses@webarchitechs.com and we will flag your account.
Your resume text, intake answers, and exercise conversations are processed by Anthropic (Claude) via their API. Per Anthropic's terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Anthropic retains API logs for a limited period for trust & safety, then deletes them.
